I want to tell you the true story of Mark Twain. This is also the true story of me. Albeit Mark Twain is much more widely known. This is also the story of you. Trust me.
When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.
He left home at 14, and returned at 21. You left home…when? Give it time.
yeah I know. I was thinking about that very saying just this morning.
You are wise beyond your years.
See, that’s just the thing. I know all this stuff in my head, and yet I don’t act on it. What does that make me?
An idiot.
But seriously, knowing that “time heals all wounds” as an example, doesn’t mean if you know it, then it will heal faster. Get it?
Basically, the above is just saying, “…once you mature…” which, apparently, hasn’t happened yet. Again, give it TIME dude.
‘Im an asshole, your an asshole, wouldnt you like to be an asshole too?’
I dont fully agree with the notion that ‘time heals all wounds’…I think it would be more accurate if it was put this way: ‘Time heals all wounds, but only if you want those wounds healed. Only through the ability to forgive or be forgiven can wounds truly ‘heal’. Otherwise, open wounds stay in their current state, or fester further…forever. In fact, the only person that is negatively affected is the one who hangs onto a ‘wrong’ that was done to them. aka a ‘wound’.
When is a cookie not a cookie? When its a fig newton. ’Its not a cookie, motha….its fruit and cake’.
My dog smells like corn chips…
The ‘time heals all wounds’ was used as an example only. No further discussion was required. Thank you for your participation.
Dan,
I must say that your last few comments have been gloves off, no BS, straight shooting, hard hitting, crammed full of truth responses. Thanks for your continued support.
Eric,
You, like me, present the unbiased truth, mixed with a little bit of irrevrent humor havng no transition in between. Keep up the good work.
