Sunday Voice Posts, Christain Media and You
This one is 15 minutes. Still a bit longer then what I would have liked, but you begged for it, so you got it.

Fifteen minutes?!?!?! Pray tell sir, what chunk of time out of my schedule do you think I have for listening to something of this length?
you’ll like it. Quit your bitchin’
You’re right! I may think it’s the most revolutionary thing I’ve ever heard and its going to change the world as we know it – but that doesn’t address my question. WHEN do you think I’ll have time to actually hear it? Perhaps you could break it up into several smaller pieces. Like a serial radio show of old or something to that effect? Dude, it’s all about marketing.
this is true. This segemeent was supposed to be shorter, but that’s just how it ran. I do most humbly apologize. I figure that you’ll either get to it tonight, tomorrow morning, over lunch, or those few moments before closing bell when you are relaxing.
Alternatively, you could get Galinda to listen and then tell you.
And miss the sweet tones of your voice? NEVER!
But when will you have time?
I’m hoping once the kids leave for college. We’ll see.
I’ll throw a penny in the hat to see that they do.
Your creativity is eclipsed only by your generosity.
Thank you kind sir. But you do realize that you could have been halfway through by now if we hadn’t been arguing? However, we haven’t had a day like this is quite some time. Keep it up.
I’m sorry, did you not understand that I can do this AND answer the phone AND have people come into my office while if I were listening to your lengthy voice post I would have to pause it during the intervals? What justice do you think I would be paying your work listening to it 15 to 30 seconds at a time? Indeed sir!
Oh, what an ass am I!
what did your second comment mean?
I am reticent to post my original, reflexive thoughts… flames do come as natural, compassion i have to work at…do you want to see what i put in a word doc?
oops
..the reviews are in…
“A Royal Snoozefest”
“Professor Tom’s new Sunday feature draws yawns previously reserved for watching grass grow and paint dry”
“In an effort to entertain the masses, Tomas (surname deleted to keep him from being assassinated) has mistaken his interest in film to be as universal as the general audience’s capacity to hate”
You know i lurveya…
to quote Indiana Jones in Radiers of the Lost Ark
(through clentched teeth)
ah ha! Son-of-a-bitch!
Now I’m going to HAVE to listen to it!
I told ya!
yeah, life’s too hard sometimes, and it sucks so much.
but thank you for that =]
too bad its cold and dark and wintry here. i guess thats what you get when you live in michigan.
lol yeah i live in michigan. ive lived about 20 other places though too lol.
i actually used to live in indiana too, which is kinda ironic.
but i guess it is good to know that there are people who care about me although i’ll never meet them
yeah, i guess. the thing is, im just so confused about everything in my life right now that it makes it hard to do anything. it was easier when i was younger.
i’ve always tried to live each day for what it is, moment by moment, but when something bad happens, it’s almost impossible not to live for the future, or for that matter, what you had or have at the time.
i’ve made many mistakes so far, i know i have, and they all turn out okay, it’s just when its happening, or when you think you’ve done something to ruin the thing that makes you happiest in life, it’s really scary and really hard.
you seem a lot older than me, which could be because im only fiftten, but just by how you speak, or i guess type in this matter that makes it seem that way.
lol more like just mom, i dont have a relationship with my dad.
but you’re very nice, just so you know.
well thank you =]
people have told me that before, it’s just cause i’ve gone through a lot already in my life, i know about things many people my age don’t.
you seem a lot older than even 21, if that doesnt sound mean lol
yeah, i get what you mean. i’m only fifteen, which a lot of people associate with being immature, but really it all just depends on the person. i know what it’s like to go through a lot of things that not even a lot of adults go through. my health is that of like a 60 year olds, so i know how bad it can be to not know if you’re going to be able to do the things you love. my “father” was never there, so i know what thats like, and i have a strong interest in law and politics, so i know a fair share about that. drama seems to follow me a lot though, just because of the fact im not afraid to tell people how it is.
you probably dont care about most of that, i just get quite bored being at home sick, and you’re here to “listen”
=]
Would I like voice posts every Sunday? *ponders* Sure, why not
Is it sad that I actually knew who Cloud 10 was without having to go back into my DVD collection to dig out Left Behind? Not that I’m a big fan of them or anything… Gosh, I can’t believe they said all that. Almost made me choke on this sandwich I’m eating for lunch.
RYC: I feel special
I laughed when I read Frank’s post — sorry, but he’s got my vote. The voice post is fine, perhaps a once a week thing as you’ve suggested, but with a more interesting topic, please . . . .
I was thinking, as I was listening to all the inconsequential numbers applied to inconsequential movies, with your loyalty in visiting the theatre and your “inside friend” at least you’re not adding on to all those numbers with your own hard earned cash. Truly, the Hollywood scene is over-rated. There are too many who have come & gone and are totally forgotton to really get too worked up over it all. But whatever. Everybodys gotta have a habit . . .
Glad you’re doing well, keeping things upbeat & positive. Why so formal in the comments on my site? Your welcome for my time . . . That’s what friends are for. They share their time, thoughts, etc. I’ll send off something soon. Terri
Ok, I listened. And I don’t recall EVER asking you to do another long, boring voice post. Enjoyed the intro though. You’re a hoot. WTF do I care about these movies? Galinda was bored to tears. I was ready for this to be over approximately 90 seconds into it. I think I saw Judgment. Or maybe my wife saw it before we tossed the DVD. Dunno.
Sunday afternoon posts: Only if they’re SHORT and you don’t actually expect anyone to listen to them on the weekend.
Hey dumbass, some of us remember Growing Pains when it wasn’t on re-runs, asshole.
Is it over yet? No, it’s still playing. Lots of numbers. Good info. Thanks.
I can’t believe I listened to the whole thing!!!
Please please please continue to do these, however, perhaps with less numbers involved and if not a more interesting topic, then at least shorter, which will make it more bearable.
Thanks.
Okay other than the fact that I would rather not spend 2 hours waiting for your post to load so there isn’t any breaks in it or the fact that you did promise it would be short….
wait where was I going with this…
eh!
I truely do appreciate your willingness to help me keep my promise, it means alot to me. Yes, as a matter of fact I am keeping my promise. I even have a scholarship audition for a choir scholarship.I have also been requested to tryour for a theatre scholarship as well. If things go well I may be keeping my promise, and make myself happier. Again I thank you .
I can understand the short part, but why if no one listens to them during the weekend? That’s kinda the whole point. It gives you something to do Sunday afternoon/evening. Besides, Sunday is the lowest point in the week for comments, so I figured I’d give Sunday a little extra treat.
I remember Full House. I don’t remember what Growing Pains was about, but I remember it being on TGIF.
At least you can’t say that I didn’t have refrences in this one. I am still working hard to serve you. Yet, you mock me.
You listened to the whole thing because I know how to draw you in.
If my voiceposts are so bad, why do you want me to do more of them? I’m sorry that you can not bear them. Perhaps I should remove this feature all together.
I enjoy your creativity and enthusiasm in the voice posts. I don’t enjoy their length. I rarely post/comment on the weekends, but would be more than happy to listen/comment during the work week.
Don’t get your panties in a wad and threaten to remove the feature just because I find your inaugural attempts boring. Think of this as your motivation.
Read my first sentence again if you’re confused.
now I understand the double talk in your first comment regarding this topic.
Sunday voice posts? Sure…
As for the movie thing….I go to movies sometimes….not very often….they are not my thing. I would rather watch something on DVD at home. No nudity for me though, male or female. As for the Left Behind claims…its good that you checked the facts. As for what they claimed….evidently their facts were a tad different from yours!
BTW….I was very pleased you knew of our dear Anne. You were raised well.
