Serving
The Vice-President is in town today for a fund raiser. Link

I have a friend who works weekends delivering fruit and cakes for a party store. He was called in from his “real job” to deliver a fruit basket to Dick Cheney. My friend is an ardent Democrat.
If you had a chance to meet and serve the Vice-President and you were adamantly opposed to his political views, would you accept the opportunity?

Even if I was opposed to their views, I think it could be an interesting opportunity. Even if it was someone I didn’t support. Well…as long as they weren’t Hillary
RYC: Yeah, you’re right
Sadly enough.
*hugs*

As I told ehowton, I had to stop and think about it.
In order to put myself in my friend’s position, I imagined that I was delivering to Al Gore. At first I balked, but then I thought better about it and decided I’d take the offer.
The wildcard in this scenario, however, is whether Al would be in party mode.
And I know that I have no right to talk about Aaron as I did, but I also know I would have given up on him a long time ago if I were you. Keep fighting the good faith.
I dig that pic of Dick. (I think it’s the one they use in most of the fed buildings…)
And, yes, let’s be exhausted.

I pulled the pic from Wikipedia Commons. I think this is the one that they use in the Federal Buildings. I was at work and needed a pic of Dick. That happened to be the first one one the list that worked without modification. Additionally, there isn’t a copyright on it.
And yes, I’m exhausted all the time. Fortunately, I am going to Sidewalk this weekend for some R&R, but life wears me out.
Yep, I remember walking into the Fed Building and being greeted by that sly smile. I smirked.

You didn’t expect to see a picture of an honest politician, did you?
I rather enjoyed looking up and seeing Tricky Dick Part II grinning down at me. =) (I would have smiled back and raised the black panther salute if the cameras/monitors weren’t watching me…)

What does the Black Panthers have to do with it? He’s from Texas.
meet, yes. Serve, no. Not if i am truly so opposed
