Pens Won!
Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
It was a long race. It was a hard race. There were times when it felt like we were on the back nine in the middle of the Sahara, but perseverance paid off for one blogger: Silver_Alexis.
That’s right. She set her eye on the prize. She paced herself until she got in the home stretch. Then she set her eye on the prize and was unstoppable. Silver_Alexis won by more than three lengths.
Silver_Alexis, I hope you enjoy your new set of Zebra pens.
CONGRATULATIONS SILVER_ALEXIS!!!I would like to thank trunthepaige for suggesting and making this contest possible. Withouth her help and support, I would not have met the people I have who participated in this contest. Paige, thank you for sponsoring this event!

Well, in my home persistance was always called stubbornnes – and I have a ton of that. Thanks for the fine congrats and for the fun game.
Seriously though, I do hope it makes parting with your brother’s gift a bit easier to know that this pen really IS my all time favorite. The only time I wrote with anything else was when the refills were impossible to find. Having this set will now allow me to keep one EVERYwhere I need a pen so I won’t have to suffer from Zebra withdrawal ever again. No worries, the three-some will be welcomed and well taken care of!
Thanks again Professor.
warmest thoughts to you,
SA
@Silver_Alexis -
Reading this comment brought joy to my heart, some parts more than others.
Congratulations!
I am happy your pens found a good home
@firetyger -
Me too!
Aww. I didn’t win? I frown…
@ArphaxadHunter -
I should have budgeted in for consolation prizes.
@ProfessorTom -
Naw. It’s all good. I got the satisfaction of trying my best and such.
@ArphaxadHunter -
Hey! I know! You could count the comments on the last post for us, ha ha ha!
@ProfessorTom -
I’m lazy. Is there another way?
@ArphaxadHunter -
/me hears the Movietickes.com trailer in His head.
There’s a better way.
@ProfessorTom -
Haha.
@Silver_Alexis -
@ProfessorTom -
on the lead subject, you’re preaching to the choir – tenacity is my middle- no – 1st- name –
but on the winning? i’m a firm believer in a little love to bridge the twain–
can i take this twain to the bridge?
@pamilvr -
I’ll take you to the cleaners for that snide remark. But I do thank you for your cheerleading.
@ProfessorTom - you really lost me w/ that one – of course –i am in a bitova fog
@pamilvr -
I could say the same of you.
that’s why God invented the telephone…
@pamilvr -
I didn’t think you liked it when I called.
What contest??? Did I miss something? Paige is a wise lady! As for persistence, it is how I live my life.
@watersedge62 -
Yes you missed the contest. I was giving away Zebra pens.
Paige is a very wise young woman. That’s why I like to read her. Wait. Are you saying that I should write more?
Absolutely, I am writing more and sometimes it may be gibbersih but I just post what comes out of my head. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t
@watersedge62 -
I’ve been having trouble getting the first word out when I have the time to write. If I could just get that word out, I think the rest of them would flow.
just write about your every day experiences or about things that make you passionate. If you read any of mine, they are mostly based on my work place and love life. Maybe it doesn’t appeal to everyone but it does make alot of people smile!
@watersedge62 -
My problem is even dumber than that. I have posts outline and semi-composed in my head but when I sit at my desk at home, I get distracted by other things unless I wake up early in the morning. In fact, I set my alarm for 6 this morning. I think I hit the snooze button once. It either never went off again or I slept throug it.
I know, EPIC FAIL.
well, you need a spring cleaning:)
@watersedge62 -
I need a laptop. I can haz a MacBook Air?
RYC: Gwyn can actually say quite a few different sentences. It’s surprising because a lot of the time she just says a single word or some baby talk. But she can say quite a lot more if she wants to
@firetyger -
She sounds like her mama. If she has something she wants to say, she speaks right up and says it.
Wow, you have a lot of profile pics.
@ClockworkBunny -
I try. Been meaning to do a meme on icons.
