Thought for the Day
The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the force of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storms may enter; the rain may enter–but the King of England cannot enter.

It never ceases to amaze me how well those of the past can accurately portray what the people of today may feel and/or think. It debunks the entire theory that those older than us simply cannot know what we’re talking about and/or going through, because they themselves have been there. Interesting thought indeed.
@lizheartshakespeare – Yes. Reading the quotation in the above referenced tome stuck out at me such that I felt a duty to pass it on to my readers for reflection.
@ProfessorTom - Definitely has me thinking, so I think you succeeded
@lizheartshakespeare – That’s wonderful news!
The book is my old text from college for my Computer Ethics course. It doesn’t get technical into computers, it deals with the moral and ethcial “what ifs?” and “wherefores” that must be delt with in Computer Sceince.
@ProfessorTom - sounds absolutely intriguing
@lizheartshakespeare – It’s worth the read. I never finished reading the text in school because it really wasn’t required for class, so I decided I’d read it cover to cover some years ago but never finihsed because you can only read a ‘graph or two at a time before you have to put the book down to think about what is being said and see where you fall on the issue. This is my second attempt to make it through the book.
I wonder what country they have that law in.
@UR_MUSE – It’s in the quotation. Also, Amercians enjoy the same protection under the Fourth Ammendment to the Constitution of the United States.
Unless the King goes there personally and kicks the door down.
@AvenueToTheReal – True.
This was more of a Fourth Ammendment deal though. The quote just happened to come from England in 1763.
