If I have bad dreams about Narwhals trying to touch my balls, you are so to blame.
On a totally different subject, Paul and I are really wanting to take a trip to Huntsville in the next month or two when the weather is nice to go to NASA. It’ll be awhile after July before we do something like that, so we’d like to do it soon. We wanted to know if you’d be up for a day at the Space Center or, at the very least, meeting us for lunch/dinner/something since we’ll be in your neck of the woods? And Paul is definitely up for meeting in Chattanooga. He’s been to that park you mentioned. It’s apparently where they had some of their senior pictures taken (he’s old – that was back in like 1989 or something). He said it was a beautiful place. Sorry it took me so long to respond. School ends today, then I can get back to more important things : )
@DirtyAndShaken - If you have nightmares about narwhals touching your balls, you might want to call your shrink. Immediately. Even if it’s the middle of the night.
Sure, I’d love to spend the day with you guys. I just need a two weeks heads up. If work gets hectic (who knows?) then dinner would definitely be an option. Just tell me what you like. There’s a hole-in-the-wall Cajun place that has the best gumbo, fried gator and green been casserole. We have Macaroni Grill, P.F. Chang’s and Ruth’s Chris. Of course, there’s always Krystal’s and Micky D’s!
The last time I was at the Space and Rocket center, I thought it was a bit of a let down. But it’s something you should do at least once. If we are going to make a day of it, I’d like to take you guys up to Monte Sano. (Can you tell I have a thing for going to the tops of mountains? I keep meaning to ask Dad if he wants to go hiking on the Appalachian Trail this year.)
My only gripe is that I’ll have to shoot on film as I don’t already own the Nikon D60.
Do you have my email address? If not, I can PM it to you along with my other contact info so we can nail something down.
We are more for the hole-in-the-wall type places as opposed to the chains. And gumbo and alligator are totally up our alley. I think we’d love to see anything else you want to show us, too. Keep in mind I’m pregnant – I’m normally a good hiker and such and I’m not used to being in ‘delicate’ condition. Once the baby is here, if you’re interested in doing some good hiking, we’d like to return the favor and take you to some north Georgia Mountain outings, especially if you haven’t been before. I have done the approach to the AT, which is supposedly the most difficult stretch of the entire Trail. So amazing. I have to admit, it’s one of my favorite things about living here. And we’ll give plenty of notice. It’s the same for us with the cleaning business.
I was hoping to invest in a new high-end Nikon before the baby is here, but that won’t be happening. Grrr.
@DirtyAndShaken - I think that whester and I are going to try and swing by the Cajun place today. I haven’t been in a while and want to make sure they’re still in tact.
I appreciate the hiking offer. I might have to take you up on that. Also, while I would love for you guys to come up to Chattanooga and see the sites, I think I’ve seen about all they have to offer. It’s a great place to go (you’ll want your Nikon before you go) but I have heard that there was a new aquarium built in Atlanta. I wished that Katrina didn’t destroy the one in Mississippi, but ceste la ve!
I remember the approach to Springer Mountain. I don’t believe it to be the worst part though as I heard stories on the trail that up in Maine, it’s more rock-climbing than hiking.

Yeah, we both love Chattanooga. Paul grew up there so he’s pretty familiar, too. But we love visiting. And if you are into aquariums, yeah, Atlanta has the biggest one in the world. It’s absolutely amazing. The end of this year will open up a new and the largest Dolphin exhibit ever. Amazing photo opps there. We have connections so we can usually get discounts and special privileges. I like Chattanooga’s, but I like Atlanta’s better : ) We like tourism stuff, so you’re always welcome here.
Let me know how the cajun place goes. I’m hungry just thinking about it.
@DirtyAndShaken – I’m trying to get whester’s dumbass off the phone and out the door, but it just ain’t working.

Are you sure you don’t mind being used like that? I mean, I can’t tax you like our Dear Leader can, but fish and visitors…
@ProfessorTom - LOL – yeah, I don’t mind being used like that. I’ll even have fresh bread and good homecooked food. I’m a housewife now. It’s what I do. I don’t know what in the hell happened. I think Paul is poisoning me with something.
that was frigging hilarious!
@DirtyAndShaken – Well Hell’s Bells! Ask Paul if he wants a surrogate son.
@UR_MUSE – I see you’ve already passsed it on with a rec. Thanks man!
