  • Why?

Why is it that there is no outrage over the amount of pollution and destruction that North Korea’s missiles produce when tested but there is an infinite amount of bitching over America’s storage of nuclear weapons?

  • Because we’re so scared they actually have nuclear weapons that we can’t really think of anything else?

  • because no on wants to mess with Korea….

sorry that was a horrible answer…but thats how i feel.

  • @heidenkind – So really, it’s an extension of Common Affluenza?

  • @bluedreamer85 – It’s odd: Bush chose to ignore North Korea telling the Chineese and the Japanese that they needed to deal with the problem and he got bashed in the press. Obama fails to deal with North Korea and there is nary a word about it.

    HOPE. CHANGE!

    Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama.

  • @ProfessorTom - i cant tell if you are with obama or not? (ponders)

    but yeah….its the same everywhere.

Britain doesnt want to deal with much since all those terrorist attacks in london as well..and i feel for them too.

its easy to say i wish they would do soemthing about these things…but in a sense…if we are all playing the nuclear game..
    NO ONE wins.

    and every country…wants to win.

  • @ProfessorTom - Everyone wants something done for them but they refuse to do it. North Korea is a bad actor because the world refuses to make tough choices.

  • Because no one knows about the testing? This is the first I’ve heard of it.

And because there’s a general hating of America, don’t forget. :)

  • North Korea doesn’t even like to talk.  We don’t want them to test or even have nuclear weapons in the first place, but they’re just like “you guys don’t govern us, we do what we like.”  So I guess in that sense, it doesn’t seem like there’s much we can do about it.  Additionally, I’m pretty sure the USA has a lot more nuclear weapons than North Korea.  And I might be missing something here, but how does the storage of nuclear weapons have anything to do with pollution?

  • @bluedreamer85 - There is a way to win the nuclear weapons game with North Korea and that is to hit them first. Period. End of story.

Yes, it’s true the Reagan ended the Cold War with the Arm Race. The difference between the Arms Race and North Korea is that despite the level of hatred the USSR had for the United States, they understood the consequences of what a nuclear exchange would incur. As such, they wished to avoid an exchange for the sake of the survivors on both sides. In contrast, Kim Jong Ill doesn’t care if his people suffer or not. All he cares about is dominating and dictating as many people as possible.

And no, I’m not at all on Obama’s side. I’m glad you brought this up because it gives me a golden opportunity to explain to you why it is I do what i do.

I use Obama’s campaign phrase along with the worship chant his followers used during the campaign to emphasize the point that Obama hasn’t changed a damned thing. Instead, all Our Dear Leader Supreme Dictator for Life His Royal Majesty Lord Barack Obama The Most Merciful has done is destroy everything he has touched.

Our Dear Leader bailed out the banks. It failed. Our Dear Leader nationalized the auto industry and his decisions are causing those companies he is now chairing to fail. Obama has publicly declared a war on private aviation and he has all but destroyed both public and commercial aviation. Our Dear Leader has spent money like no two Presidents combined and is still trying to sell the notion that his money multiplier is greater than 1. Our Dear Leader says that he’s going to fix the economy, yet it still struggles to recover in large part due to government over regulation. Our Dear Leader has apologized to the entire world for “[his] country” (which indeed causes confusion because we don’t know if he’s referring to Kenya or the United States when he says that.) and has made the United States the laughing stock of the world. Everything Our Dear Leader touches, he destroys.

I affectionately refer to Obama as “Our Dear Leader” because that was a title of endearment of Kim Jong Ill in the North Korean press which I think aptly fits how the Drive By media worships and supports Obama and how Obama thinks about himself and his relation to the United States.

  • @ProfessorTom - good.  there was always this one thing going on and off in my head…he speaks of change, yet he himself doenst know how to.  He only speaks of his ways to Change America.  But all of it comes at a cost he doesnt know how to afford yet.

    one can wonder.

but hes my president so i have to respect him.

  • @a_drunken_cellist - The storage of nuclear weapons has nothing to do with pollution. I was comparing North Korea’s use of their missiles to our non-use. Our non-use is more environmentally friendly than North Korea’s use. Additionally, our non-use of missiles is more peaceful than North Korea’s testing. Despite America being in the “good” column on both times and North Korea being on the “bad” side, America takes the heat as if we are the bad guys.

I have a problem with that.

  • @bluedreamer85 - See, this is where you and I differ. I respect the office, not the man.
When Obama says he’s going to “redefine America”, I take great affront. Why? Because as the President of the United States, he swore an oath to protect the Constitution of the Untied States, not to change it.

How does the Constitution play into all of this? Because the Constitution is our founding document, the binding treatise that defines what this nation is and what this nation isn’t. When Our Dear Leader says that he is going to redefine America, I say that he is acting as a traitor for the reason mentioned above.

  • @ProfessorTom - that is something i agree with you on.

but because I’m still learning the ropes about the man I cant say more (mind you, and the governing system and its ways).
I personally dont like the man, I dont like his his beliefs nor do i appreciate his plan.

btw sorry i havent been by your site…you provide thought provoking posts that i enjoy and can agree with..

  • I was thinking more along the lines of psychological displacement.

  • @bluedreamer85 – no worries. By all means, have a look around. You might be interested in my Obama tag for starters. In fact, I encourage you to look at my tags and follow the topics that pique your interest. Glad to have you as a reader.

  • @heidenkind – What’s the difference in this context?

  • all this nuclear bomb stuff is crazy they should come together and destroy all nuclear weapons for humanity
