Post Father’s Day Update
For father’s day, I got my dad a copy of Neal Boortz’s book The Fair Tax Book: Saying Goodbye to the Income Tax and the IRS and a Netflix subscription. Both have ulterior motives.
I hope that with the The Fair Tax I can persuade my dad to become more involved in politics on all levels.
The Netflix account has many goals and ramifications, one of which is classified. First of all, I want them to feel the Netflix experience. Secondly, I wanted to bring some movies into their conciseness that they would not otherwise have been made aware of. As they do not have internet access at the house (for reasons I cannot go into) and I am currently both paying for and managing their account, I hope to spur them into getting said access supplied quickly so they can take over their account. Of course, my luck will be that they drive ten minutes into town and try to manage it from the library.
hotair.com is reporting that Nixon allegedly said (in so many words) “We [Republicans] need hot women.”
I think Nixon is absolutely right. I’ll tell you why: people support attractive people. Don’t believe me? I’ll give you an example.
At work today, we were discussing the release Transformers 2 which has a midnight show tonight. I made the point that there were two reasons not to see this film: Michael Bay directed it and Megan Fox’s comment that instead of destroying the planet, she wished that Megatron would, “just take out all of the white trash, hillbilly, anti-gay, super bible-beating people in Middle America.”
This is stupid for a number of reasons. First of all, she was born in Tennessee, so the people she’s talking about is her own kin as we say in the South. Secondly, the very people Bitch Fox just dissed are the very people that are going to go see her movie and help her negotiate for a higher salary on her next film.
Megan Fox is a skankI made these points, but my co-workers said that they were still going to go see the film because she was hot. This too is stupid. Will any of my co-workers get to have dinner with let alone sleep with Bitch Fox? NO! But they will go lay down $10 to watch a sub-par movie.
Thus, issues no longer matter as Our Dear Leader showed us via his coronation. It has more to do with popularity and sex appeal. I think that was a large part of Palin’s sudden enthusiastic base.
Another thing to consider is this: most attractive young women
and slutsin our country always get sympathy points and attention. Why do you think the naked PETA protest generate so much interest? Do you think the same would be true if Pelosi stripped in protest? For those of you film buffs out there wondering why I listed Michael Bay directing as the number one reason not to go see Transformers 2 I’d like to explain why.
Saying that he directed Pearl Harbor ought to be enough, but I know that you expect a more thorough answer from me, so I’ll oblige.
First, there was the Blu-ray only mini-bru-ha-ha over the release of Transformers. Remember when Bay said that he would only release the film on Blu-ray and in less than 24 hours he had reversed his field because someone at Paramount made Bay an offer he couldn’t refuse because Paramount had been paid off by the HD DVD camp in an attempt to block Blu-ray? Yeah, Bay has no spine. If he has no spine, I can conclude that his movies don’t have any important messages, therefore I can write off his films as irrelevant, mindless entertainment.
And if that isn’t enough for you, I could remind you of the faux pas Bay pulled at an LG PR gig. Again, why would I want to go see a movie made by this arrogant prick when his past body of work has sucked so badly?
As some of you may know, I am taking nine days off starting next Sunday. I don’t think that I’m going to make it out to Atlanta at this point, so it looks like other than the evening of the Fourth (4th) I’m free. Seriously, if you’re in town or thereabouts and have been dying to get together, you need to get on my calendar because those days will be filling up and gone fast.
During this hiatus, I may toddle off to a super secret location where my staff won’t be able to contact me. I will likely blog most of that time as I have a lot of things I want to talk about. I may even take some topics that I meant to hit a while back and cover them, let them gather comments then back date them appropriately. Also on the docket is a series of posts on what the Tax Parties mean, my take on Obama and a public stating of my beliefs on some key issues not yet covered.
Also coming up, I have interviewed Christie Carden, organizer of the Huntsville Tea Parties as well as State Coordinator. And there are some great people that have interviewed me who will be posting those interviews in the coming days. And I have some projects up my sleeve that I won’t discuss until they come to fruition.
We’ll have a guest blogger tomorrow.

Ooooh, the intrigue! Lots of secrets’n'lies on at work, so I wont ask XP
Though I’d be careful to use one incident to then dismiss someone/thing as “I can conclude that his movies don’t have any important messages,
therefore I can write off his films as irrelevant, mindless
entertainment”
Especially with something like the whole Blu-ray vs HD-DVD palava which is more the domain of specific companies and film houses rather than the directors themselves. They would play very little role, I would think, in the distribution of their movies. It’s a great marketing gimmick and ploy that’s been used countless times andis very difficult to counter.
Looking forward to being on this blog for the next week or so!
@cmdr_keen - Here’s the thing about Bay’s Blu-ray waffle: he said, “Blu-ray only or I don’t direct Transformers 2. Twenty four (24) hours later, he turns around and backtracks, which means that he won’t hold his own. Bay was dominated and castrated unlike on any femdom site you’ve ever seen, Transformers came out on HD DVD anyway and the dipshit went on to direct Transformers 2. Please show me how I’m wrong to not support the prick.
Furthermore, you need to read this link for further reasons to not watch another Michael Bay film.
If it’s from a reliable source, then I can see your point of view.
Though I’d doubt you’ll find any scrupulous director anywhere in Hollywood. You’d just have to offer them a big enough check and they’ll do anything it takes to make sure they’re in that seat at the start of production and filming.
@cmdr_keen – Which is why they aren’t worthy of that seat and shouldn’t be rewarded for playing the part of the ho. See the discussion of Skank Fox in this post for further discussion.
@ProfessorTom - It’s why they cast her. At least the producers know their intended audience well enough. Anyone with big tits in that role would draw the comic-boy-legions.
Sad but true.
I have to admit though, purely for curiosities sake after seeing the first one I will probably get around to seeing the second to see how they develop the storyline, and of course, see how Megan Fox’s scripted sequence with Megatron actually goes.
THough I’ll only be paying $1.08 at the local Redbox for the “privilege”.
@cmdr_keen - Fuck that. You should pirate this one just to piss Bitch Fox and her bosses off.
I, for one, am sad that we couldn’t meet up for 4th of July stuffs. In my condition, I am not good company. I sleep a lot and tire easy. We must remedy this issue once BB is here (if you are okay with having a little one in tow). Hopefully you will get some rest and get blogging done over your break – I am looking forward to a rash of blogs from you, so don’t disappoint me : )
Hadn’t given much thought to Megan Fox – I wrote her off as just another tartlette with a big mouthpiece like so many others. She’s not my type, so her looks don’t really woo me. That snapshot of Piglosi, though, wow that’s hot! Now we’re talking!
I’m curious as to your reasons behind Netflix (the classified ones), but think that’s a great gift. I can’t imagine my life without it.
Paul will likely go see Transformers (by himself, I’m not a fan) because he loved the first one. When it comes to movies, he goes for the ‘mindless entertainment’ part of it.
Have you been reading the Fair Tax book yourself? What do you think?
I’m reading Glenn Beck’s ‘Common Sense’, which is GREAT! I want to buy a few of them and give them to people I think need it and might actually read it. Love that he did a non-partisan book like this.
I gave my dad a bottle of Scotch. No ulterior motives, although he did share some with me. It was pretty good!
I wish Megan Fox would STFU. If anyone was interested in what you had to say, Megan, would they give you a script to read? No. So go back to getting mani-pedis and don’t speak until you receive your cue. Love, me.
@heidenkind – I want to make violent love to you. I think you’re the first person who actually gets it.
@DirtyAndShaken - Yes, I would love to get together once BB is here. It’d likely have to be on a weekend…just let me know.
Did I disappoint you with my level of blogging on my break? I don’t think I did.
You’re spot on about Fox.
My “classified” reason for the Netflix thing was to get them to get internet at their new lake house. At the time, I was under orders to not put such things on my blog. I am happy to report that I went back home Sunday and got Mom to put her credit card into Netflix…I don’t think I got charged. And yes, they now have high speed internet, though when I was there it dropped like a bitch. She got a letter in the mail on Monday telling her that they were aware of the issue and were working hard to resolve it. We shall see.
I did indeed read The Fair Tax a couple of months ago when I first stared talking about the Fair Tax. I’ve meant to review the book; perhaps I can do so for filler later this week.
Haven’t read Common Sense yet.
I think you and I should do a book swap and help both our wallets from the hurt.
