Obama Now Channels Heinrich Himmler
Directly from the White House website:
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.
This Gestapo like tactic pits citizens against citizens in an effort to shut out the growing opposition to the healthcare takeover. This should raise hairs on the back of any liberty-minded American and generate screams of opposition.
Using tax-dollars and union thugs to stump for a bad piece of legislation is bad, but calling on Americans to report their fellow citizens for opposing said legislation exceeds the bounds of anything most of us could even fathom happening in our “free country.”
Please join with us in rising up against this usurpation of all things American, call your legislators, call the Whitehouse (from a disposable phone), and let Obama know that this is NOT acceptable behavior, now matter how much his legacy might ride on accomplishing the takeover.
An Open Letter to the White House:
I know you people are caught up in your beltway-bubble, but step back for a minute, take the silver spoon out of your mouth, and think about how this looks from the outside.
You are asking American citizens to turn in their fellow citizens for voicing opposition to a bill, based on the text of this bill. Obama’s rhetoric does not change the text of the bill, and the opposition to this takeover has been far more likely to actually quote the legislation, in full context.
Free speech is fundamental to American liberty. Even if the opposition to this bill had no factual basis for their opposition, this totalitarian “informant” tactic is entirely un-American in every sense. I know that doesn’t matter to an administration where the end justifies the means, but it matters to the average American. The more light the text of this legislation sees, the more the opposition grows.
You can put me on the list of subversive “anti-reform” conservatives, and I’ll wear the label proudly. Just remember, the WW2 and Cold War generations aren’t dead yet, and they remember these tactics as the tactics of the enemy.
Sincerely,
ProfessorTom

I’m afraid this is only going to get worse… Remember the “truth squads” Obama had walking around on voting day to keep “disinformation” about him being spread around?
Since when does anyone’s rhetoric change what is ACTUALLY WRITTEN in the freaking bill?! I am offended that they think we are truly that stupid. Then to ask us to turn our fellow Americans in for disagreeing with the government… Wow. Never thought I’d see this day in my lifetime.
And sheep say, “O-BAAAAAAA-MA!”
@firetyger - Hope! Change!
Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama.

Neither did I. But this is what happens when you let people like Obama in office. I’m just wondering how long it will take the sheeple to decide to go storm the castle and remove Our Dear Leader.
I know of one intrepid citizen who headed the call to report sites that contradict what Obama has said about the reform bill…and sent them two sites that posted the text of the bill itself.
@randomneuralfirings - What a dumbass!
@randomneuralfirings - So if the text of the bill is worth reporting, does that mean that we can just scrap it?
A lie repeated often enough a) becomes truth and b) gradually drives those who point out it’s a lie insane.
Obviously anyone clinging to outdated notions like thinking and freedom of speech is terrorist. Stalin is proud of Obama too.
@JJ_Ames - Joe and Barry can suck my salami.
@ProfessorTom - careful – while they’re at it they’ll reach for your wallet, keys, and personal information. For your own protection, of course.
@JJ_Ames - Of course.
Wow.
Funny how extremists are. On the right they say Obama’s a socialist, on the left they claim Bush is a Dictator.
And to think some say we are a christian nation. Irony!
@nidan - Barry O said we were a “secular nation”.
I would expect the increase in nastyness to be consistent with a secular nation. Wouldn’t you?
@nidan - Yes, you would expect that conclusion to be true of a secular nation, but don’t confuse effect with causation.
The first quote seems innocent enough, until you get to the part “casual conversation.” It makes it seem as though a simple act of talking is a purposeful act of treason to spread lies and slander the President and his administration.
If you see something ‘fishy’ in an e-mail, send it to Snopes. They’ll dig out the truth, not the White House.

But Barry wants to know so he can lock up the dissident in “prolonged detention.”
Has it ever crossed your mind that one potential reason why the White House would want to know what’s out there circulating around is to gain further insights into what people are saying and thinking about the proposed healthcare reforms?
Not so they can “lock up “dissidents”‘ in a manner similar to Heinrich Himmler and the SS (wrong ideology, by the way. The KGB would be more accurate given Obama’s “Socalist” tendencies”) but perhaps to include ALL views and opinions on healthcare reform so that the final bill is more likely to gain the support of Congress and the people?
Surely that’s not the reason, not in this democracy…
@cmdr_keen - I’m sure that the guy who’s sending union thugs to town halls to intimidate concerned citizens and give Conservatives a bad name only wants to know what is being said in “casual conversation beneath the surface” because he wants a bi-partisan bill. in fact, the reason there is so much cost, and bureaucracy is that Our Dear Leader Supreme Dictator for Life His Royal Majesty Lord Barack Hussien Obama The Most Merciful wanted to start a dialog, not pass the bill as is before the August recess.
