Protected Post on Live Journal
I just made a protected post and put it on LJ. I know that there’s a number of you here on Xanga that would like to read it, but the truth of the matter is that it would take too much to translate the HTML and you people need to start moving off of Xanga and onto LJ anyway, so now’s the time.
If you do move to LJ and want to read my post, either add me as a friend (schpydurx) or somehow send me your LJ user name so I can add you to my FL so you can read my protected post.
Peace Out.

Hi Tomas:
So you are considering a jump, huh? I’m thinking about it, but it’s “comfortable” here. I’m still trying to adjust to Facebook, and failing miserably. We’ll see. I know you weren’t nagging.
As for the comment: Yes, Don’s father was a problem. Unfortunately, Don looked at me as a problem too. However, since he never wanted to spend time with us, he never truly knew us, yet he felt he could still pass judgement on our family & choices. When Heidi began the relationship, she felt they were on a similar level, with similar background, yet as things became more honest, she was actually above him in character (and other areas). Now, I personally put Don and his entire family just barely above “white trash”. We have known his family for several years (as acquaintances), but now I wouldn’t even call them that for the way they treated Heidi. As you can tell, I am still working through some things. Being a part of the church did not guarantee better behavior in this case.
Essentially, I guess I was trying to say that there are givers and there are takers. Being mismatched in this trait is a recipe for disaster — not to say that people can’t change, but they usually don’t. Being a giver doesn’t always equate with Christianity and being a taker doesn’t always mean white trash. This is a matter of the heart, of attitude.
To turn the page, this is also what makes the difference in a good politician: To serve or to be served. We currently have a lot of selfish leaders holding power in my opinion.
O.K., gotta go. Kids want to watch a Madea movie (Tyler Perry). Some of his stuff is pretty good.

How’d you end up picking your LJ username?
By the way, your second link (to your main journal) doesn’t work properly. I think you might’ve forgotten the http:// because it’s linking back to your Xanga.
@treelights - I ought to write a post that talks about my user name. Are you following me over on Live Journal too? And you were half right. I was only missing one slash.
@ProfessorTom - Ooh, does that mean the origin is interesting? And no, I don’t own an LJ, so I’m not following. I thought about getting an LJ, but that means double the writing when I don’t even have anything to say in the first place.
@treelights - You should move to LJ. And yes, there is an origin story, though I’m not sure how interesting you’ll find it.
