Hey folks, I’d like your take on this.
My company delayed opening until 10 this morning but it’s started snowing again. The high is supposed to get up to 29F, so in theory, no melting unless there is a lot of traffic.
Apparently the news is reporting that there will be no accumulation, but I know we’ve picked up dust here at my apartment. I’m worried about the snow freezing on the driveway because it’s one way in and one way out. There’s a park across the street, but I’m worried that if I park there for the weekend my car will be towed.
My boss isn’t coming in today and I think it’s about evenly split. They let us go early yesterday which was practically a first. I’m debating on whether to take a snow day today for the various reasons that I have mentioned here.
It looks like the powder we got this morning has blown away, but it’s too cold to go check the driveway.
The call volume into work is nil.

In case any of you missed or slept through it, Ballmer gave his keynote speech at CES last night. The power went out and then they had problems getting the machines on stage back up and running. To make it worse, several of their products lagged or didn’t work with the touch controls. Top that off with the fact that there really wasn’t anything new in the keynote and you have something to put on in the background to help you hibernate during these Arctic blasts.
Meanwhile, Apple has a kick-ass event scheduled for January 26.
